Famous Lovely Ladies Named Linda!

People, in general, are identified by many things including personality and physical appearance. Another distinctive identifier is a person’s name. Generally, people are usually known and addressed by a certain name to distinguish them from another person. It is always helpful to put a name with a face.
Typically, parents contemplate for months what they will call their babies when they are born. This process usually involves a lot of consideration. After all, that is the way the person will be addressed for life!
Physical appearance is not generally something that a person has any control over. Of course, a person can enhance their looks if they so choose but have no say so on the original canvas. Arguably, a person has some control over their personality. Some are more personable than others but that is a matter of opinion.
Have you ever been introduced to someone and thought that their name didn’t match their personality and/or appearance? For some reason, we subconsciously have pre-conceived ideas about what a woman named, Matilda, would look like; or a man named, Stanley.
The name, Linda, for example is somewhat of a common name. That shouldn’t be surprising, given its meaning. The name, like many, has more than one spelling but the same meaning no matter how it is spelled. The name, Linda, has origins in a lot of different countries including the United States, Germany, Italy, Sweden and France to name a few. Although they are pronounced differently depending on the language, the meaning is the same… soft, tender and beautiful.
I suppose then that it shouldn’t be surprising that we idolize some very famous, “Lindas.” Below is a list of women named, Linda (or Lynda), that don’t need any introduction from me. Their faces and accomplishments stand on their own.
