The groovy era was a time of outrageous excitement and change. After the first few pop music pioneers broke ground, musicians were feeling the groove and getting on board! Among these groups was the iconic band, Little Feat.

1960s pop music pioneer bands of the counterculture era included icons like The Beatles, The Mamas & the Papas, The Rolling Stones and The Doors, just to name a few.

Pop music groups were cropping up everywhere during this time in history. That is not to say that solo artists weren’t front and center as well. Other artists including Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Bob Dylan were also making names for themselves during this time. No matter how you look at it, the '60s and '70s were an exciting era in American music history.
