Throughout the country's history, it and its people have been called many things; "great" being one of the most popular. So we've decided to take a trip down memory lane to look at some of the best, most trying, heart warming, heart breaking and desperate times of the country's and its people's history. At the lunch counter at a railroad station, blacks and whites were served separately. In this photo we can see a black woman awaiting her sandwich while Elvis Presley sits in the background waiting for his bacon and eggs.
In this rare photo, we see the Ku Klux Klan at a carnival in Canon City. The Klan is an extremist group that have been linked to many terrorist attacks and who actively promote white supremacy.
Alan Alexander Milne, was the author of the famous Winnie the Poor series of novels. The books featured his son, Christopher Robin, as the basis for the main character. Pictured above is the real Christopher Robin and Winnie the Pooh.
